Construction will occur within Mackay Airport’s existing footprint, providing a cost-effective solution and minimising disruption for customers and stakeholders. More than 200 jobs will be created during the overall construction phase, and businesses at Milton Precinct will ultimately support an additional 280 onsite jobs.

Portions of this upgrade are supported by a loan from the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF). To be eligible for NAIF finance, projects must demonstrate a clear public benefit to the economy and local communities, including job creation, regional economic growth and improved liveability.

We appreciate your support and patience as we deliver these exciting and essential upgrades. Do you have a question about the Future-Proofing MKY project? Click here to access our Customer Feedback Form or please email admin@mackayairport.com
