The launch of the Mackay Airport Sports Star Hall of Fame promises to be a great celebration and the Mackay community is invited to come out to the airport on Friday to be a part of this fun filled morning of school holiday fun.
The six of the region's sporting greats being honoured in the Hall of Fame will finally be revealed.
GM Mackay Airport, Rob Porter said, "We love this display at the airport. It instills a sense of pride among the locals and shows our visitors some of the amazing sports stars to come out of our region and perform at the top level in their chosen field."
"Come on out to the launch. There'll be plenty of fun sporting activities for all ages. Pass the footy with the Mackay Cutters or shoot some hoops with the Mackay Meteors and Meteorettes.
"There's even a bucking bull for the brave hearted, plus there will be loads of prizes and giveaways."
